I just saw a video that eggs are very high in linoleic acid. Especially when fed corn and soy but still fairly high when pasture raised. Why should I eat them?
unideal fat ratio but as long as you are also eating butter it should balance a bit hopefully (more saturated fat than ruminant fat, especially grassfed)
Correct chickens that aré fed corn and soy have high ammount of linelaic ácid if you dont want this you must buy corn and soy free eggs as the chickens eggs Is affected most by its diet not enviroment pasture raised eggs aré a joke
That’s why I have my own chickens now because all of the ones at the store even cage free pasture raised organic are lying they are all fed “organic” soy and corn
Pasture raised eggs only have a small amount. It's much lower than the amounts in seed oils. The egg will also contain compounds that prevent LA from oxidising. There's no strong evidence linoleic acid is bad anyway. You should still eat eggs, ideally pasture raised, for B vitamins, choline, selenium, and it's a very high quality protein source.
Thanks
Yeah egg yolk is in liquid form at room temp which means it's unsaturated to some extent and if chickens are fed grain sludge then the amount of linoleic acid can increase
