What worked for me was stopping the acne from appearing. Don't focus on removing it right now, because it will just come back. Bad in what way? Do you already have a skincare routine? If not, I would suggest also using a facial cleanser and moisturizer alongside a retinol if necessary.

it's been getting worse after using retinol or you are now considering using retinol?

retinol is pretty light stuff, barely did anything for me. Maybe I'm a non responder but if your skin is that bad, try something like accutane or tretinoin depends on what the problem with your skin is
