# Brow Length to Face Width Ratio

The combined horizontal spans of both brows divided by cheekbone width.

## What is measured

Calculation: (Left brow span + right brow span) ÷ cheekbone width

## Why it matters

Brows frame a share of the face’s total width. This distinguishes short brows on a broad face from longer brows that extend further across the upper face.

- Lower: shorter combined brow spans relative to the face.
- Higher: longer combined brow spans relative to the face.

## Where the idea comes from

Evidence: FaceIQ adaptation. Comparing widths belongs to the anthropometric tradition. FaceIQ expresses these photographed distances as a ratio; population measurements provide context rather than proof of this particular scoring range.

## A worked example

Two brows each spanning 49 units across a 140-unit face give (49 + 49) ÷ 140 = 0.70.

## How to read your result

The app measures horizontal spans, not curved hair-by-hair lengths. Sparse tails or makeup can move the visible endpoint.
