I’ve been taking vitamin D3 on and off for the last couple months, haven’t seen any SIGNIFICANT results but I still think it will help with bone growth as a teen. However, many people have claimed higher dosages of Vitamin D3 supplements is rat poison and is harmful… Whereas other studies tested vitamin D3 in mega doses and it had no effect.
Do you guys think Vitamin D3 is a cope or placebo?
Another problem comes into play when you try get vitamin D3 naturally from the sun. Although it is much better, it is evident that it leads to faster aging and apparently causes skin cancer. Moreover, people with darker skin usually get severe sun burns or poor pigmentation after frequent sun exposure (speaking from experience).
So it begs the question, how should teens get vitamin D3 for optimal function and bone growth?

Yes, skin cancer is a serious issue, but you have to realize that it only occurs in people who eat a standard diet high in vegetable oils, and we have no evidence that people on a raw food diet experience this kind of problem. So the answer is: sun exposure combined with a proper diet.
and take a supplement if you have a winter deficiency or can't get out in the sun
Just go into the sun
